Join us in Rebuilding Northern Uganda’s Mental Health
🌍 Support our Cause: Donate Now
We are MBS for Mental Health and Wellbeing in Ethnic Minority UK, a charity founded by Diaspora healthcare professionals from Uganda now living in the UK. We are committed to addressing the mental health needs of communities in Gulu, Uganda, which have been deeply affected by over 20 years of civil war.
Our Mission: Rebuilding Northern Uganda
ROCO PACO (Rebuilding the Acholi Sub-region) is our initiative aimed at restoring hope and mental well-being in the Acholi sub-region, particularly in Gulu, through community-driven activities. From 3rd to 13th November 2024, our dedicated volunteers will organize:
- Kampala – Gulu Mental Health Run (3rd – 9th November 2024)
- Inter-school Football Mental Health Awareness Competition (10th November 2024)
- Stakeholders Fundraising Dinner (9th November 2024)
- Community Mental Health Awareness with Gulu University (11th – 12th November 2024)
How You Can Help
We need your support to make these activities impactful and sustainable. Our goal is to raise £5000 to sponsor students’ participation in the run and inter-school competitions, providing them with necessary sports kits and facilitation.
Why It Matters
The Acholi sub-region, once vibrant, has been scarred by conflict. The resulting trauma has led to widespread mental health issues like PTSD, depression, and anxiety. Your donation will help rebuild resilience and contribute to psychological recovery in Northern Uganda.
Every Contribution Counts
By supporting our cause, you become a part of the healing process for a community in need. Join us in making a lasting impact on mental health awareness and recovery.
Donate Now: Support Northern Uganda
