MBS for Mental Health Charity: Building Stronger Communities Through Mental Health Support
At MBS for Mental Health Charity, our mission is to improve mental wellbeing, reduce stigma, and empower individuals and communities through education, awareness, and practical support. We deliver a range of community-based activities led by experienced mental health practitioners, helping people develop the knowledge and confidence to support themselves and others.
Our Community Services
Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Training
Our Mental Health First Aid training equips community members with the skills to recognise, understand, and respond to mental health challenges. This practical and engaging training helps participants identify early warning signs, provide initial support, and guide individuals towards appropriate professional help. By increasing mental health literacy, we help create safer and more supportive communities.
Mental Health Awareness Sessions for Adults
We deliver interactive awareness sessions designed to increase understanding of mental health, challenge stigma, and promote wellbeing. These sessions provide valuable information on common mental health conditions, self-care strategies, and available support services, helping participants develop a better understanding of mental wellbeing.
Mental Health Awareness Sessions for Children and Young People
Supporting young people’s mental health is a key priority. Our age-appropriate sessions help children and young people develop emotional resilience, understand mental wellbeing, and build confidence in discussing their feelings. Early education plays a vital role in preventing future mental health challenges and encouraging healthy coping strategies.
Holiday Activity Programmes
During school holidays, we provide structured wellbeing and enrichment activities for children and families. These programmes promote social inclusion, positive relationships, personal development, and community engagement while helping to reduce isolation and improve overall wellbeing.
Online Charity Shop
Our online charity shop offers donated clothing, toys, and household items at affordable prices. Every purchase supports our charitable activities while contributing to environmental sustainability through the reuse and recycling of donated goods.
Supporting Sustainable Community Impact
MBS for Mental Health Charity is committed to long-term sustainability. Alongside grant-funded projects, income generated through our training programmes, awareness sessions, holiday activities, and online charity shop helps us continue delivering culturally appropriate mental health support and community services. This diversified approach reduces reliance on external funding and enables us to maintain essential services during challenging funding periods.
